Default Mounting Battery Boxes

Going to mount new battery box. When I mount it should I just hold it down with screws or should I use some 4200 on the base plus screw it down? Thanks.

I would go with just screws. Makes it easier to take out if needed.

Just added 4 new boxes to mine over the winter. I just predrilled holes and screwed them down.

Use something like 4000 or silicone. You want to seal the holes, not bond it to the wood.

Thanks for the input. Not sure how I will do it still. I asked the question because when I removed the old box it had a bead of some type of adhesive to reinforce the hold down to the engine compartment.
