Default Merc 330 ; kicker fuel line implementation

(yes that's an outward pointing arrow on the filter housing)

question: this here plug can be removed and a nipple put in for outboard fuel line?

fuel filter housing is Mercruiser Marine OEM it looks like from 1982

is the Mercruiser fuel system pressurized?

is my walmart purchased OMC fuel line with bulb safe to use by just cutting the line and sticking it on the new nipple?

is that 1/2 threaded to quarter inch brass nipple ??

Do I need a valve to close off this new kicker fuel line when not in use for any reason? safety? pressure problems?

is there a better way to marry with the I/O fuel supply?

want to keep the wife and kid safe....
