Where to buy new fuel tank???

    Hey guys,

Looks like the fuel tank in the '87 Formula 272 I am restoring is shot. It has an inch of sludge on the bottom, and has corrosion on the bottom from sitting in wet foam for years. My question is, is there a place I can buy a tank that will fit? Or do I have to have one custom made for big bucks? The original tank is 129 gallons, but I would like to go a little smaller, so it will fit better, maybe 100 gallons. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Imco makes them. I made up a drawing of a tapered belly tank I put in the nose of my boat, and they built it perfectly. They may have the dimensions for your boat on file.
