Default HELP! EMI Installation

Anyone ever run into this problem? EMI Manifold on port side of Gen IV 454 Mag. Manifold will not clear pressure line coming out of back of power steering pump. What did you do to resolve this issue?

Tell me there has to be a better way then that. Going to a local hydraulic hose making place tomorrow to see what they can do about making a new hose that will work.

google banjo bolt. I saw a setup once the basically replaced the pressure line from the pump. I will dig into it a little more.

Many brake line components use banjo bolts.

I screwed around with hydraulic shops trying to fit a hose on a ps pump with no luck. But not many around my area. Good luck.

Default fixx

yep have done a few..you need to put a sharper bend in the 90* fitting,,almost 120* and it will fit..i ran the hose along the intake and valve cover and used a slightly shorter belt.

run the hose along side the valve cover and once you follow the curve on the front of the valve cover you will w\see wht i mean, the 90/120* part will be facing the towards the intake..leave the fitting loose and tighten the belt first then position the fitting and tighten it..

Imco exhaust is almost the same and I had to use their bracket. It looks like you might be able to make it clear on your EMI's by doing as mrfixall said.
