15k will get a lot of boat. there are arguments for twins and singles. both sides have valid points. spend all summer looking. as the sun sets on boating season, the price starts dropping...find the best hull you can. by best i mean best name and reputation. a beat fountain is worth more than a perfect wellcraft nova any day...

walk away i have rebuilt 2 boats now 1st on was given to me plopped 5 thousand into it and it was decent. the second one bought a pachanga on a rusted out trailer and seized enginefor 2500 invested 3700 in a new trailer 4500 in the motor had a muffler go and it sank that cost me another 3000 to have the motor pulled and gone through replace starter and drive shaft still need the gears replaced in the alpha 1but would prefer to go with a bravo since the motor is now pushing 410 hp and interior which will be another 3500 to4500 so if you like project boats buy one at a project price as you can see i could have bought a turnkey boat for what i have put into it. But then again how could i turn down a "CLASSIC" hahaha... I will say its a fun and fast boat and handles well.

Just made the mistake you almost made....get into something that is water ready....i'm still months out from the water and already got well over 20K dumped into mine.....and i got it cheap....lesson one learned(if you cant take it to the water the day you buy it....then go find one you can)
