I bought one of these and it works great with my monster autometer GPS speedo. It beats paying the $2-300 from Livorsi etc.

Not sure which gps speedo you have but I would read the documentation on it to determine the gps communication details and then cross check with the gps version.

Thanks
Jim

If you have a garmin GPS, just forget the antenna repair/replacement, and hook the speedo input to the output of the Garmin. Here's more info: http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/g...eedo-help.html

Took me ~15mins to convert.

I tried the Hardin marine one on a Livorsi GPS - didn't work, but new Livorsi ant worked fine.

I followed the links back to 2009 where naughty kitty posted some pics & changed the battery on mine today took longer to remove the antenna than it did to replace the battery. If it works I will have saved 200.00 if it does'nt oh well, th speedo was'nt working anyway. Randy

+1, and it doesn't have to be a Garmin. The GPS just has to have NMEA output which I believe is pretty standard.
