A/C install 35 Mistress....
Ok, I now know wht for sure the Mistress is a beast in big water... the boat has a chitload of 1.5" thick bulkheads EVERYWHERE....as I find when drilling for A/C install...
Picked up a 7000 BTU Cruisair unit, installing myself....
I have friends in HVAC buisness so we had idea to keep boat clean cosmetically, I am using 6, 2" ducts and vents instead of 2, 4" ones.... I can install them at existing cupholder location so I dont have to drill anything, I have 4 cupholders between bench and V berth... then the last 2 will be ran to front of berth to keep it from getting stuffy up there....
This boat has been 100% dry wood even at back bulkhead and that makes me VERY happy for a 28 year old boat never redone....
Here are some pics for now... and yes I am sealing all my new holes LOL

When I installed ac in the Baja the Bulkheads were just as thick and actually much harder to get thru, lots of fiberglass deep in the wood.
Looks like your buddies hooked you up with some Spacepack supplies. while I disagree with all them vents and all that work running them theres more than one way to skin a cat I guess
Im very happy with the air flow of (2) 4" vents. One supply split into two short runs.

The 2" isn't really much more work but one reason is with vents at front of v berth it will be more balanced... I have a few friends say it gets stuffy up there at far front... And parts are free! I used to do h ac myself so I get creative lol

Alright Tim..yet another reason I wanna meet up and check out your boat..I will have A/C in my future..distant future the way I have been going so far
