Default 89 IMP 310 Eleganza rebuild

After 2 years of hibernation I'm unwrapping my 89 IMP 310 and starting to look at what to build for motors. Currently it has '00 7.4 330 EFI's in it, Port side has a dropped valve and starboard side has low oil pressure. I'm planning on keeping these blocks and having them done .30 over and go from there. I'm looking to see what cams I can run without having to worry about reversion. Currently it has stock mercruiser manifolds and risers with less than 30 hours on them, and I know I can't afford to buy aftermarket exhaust for it this year. It's a heavy boat and I know I'm not going to get too much more speed out of it but I'm wondering what I can get out of these motors to wake it up a little bit. Im looking for something reliable on the EFI motor that will hopefully put me into the 60's. It's got Bravo 1's with 23P Mirage props. I'm budgeting around 7 grand for both motors and thinking about going with forged internals.

If you've build a solid, good HP 454 EFI and want to share what you did I'd appreciate it!
Mike

Sounds like a pretty good deal Mike. I can't speak for the EFI realm but I built the stock 454/330 Into a pretty stout running 454. Post some pics up! I wanna see this thing. It's good to see more and more IMP's popping up lately. I know these boats aren't the latest technology around but still fun to build and strong hulls.

The best I saw before was 57 but that was with my port motor firing on 7/8. I'd be very pleased to get this old tank to 72 when it's done. She's only got 290 hours on the hull. I'll post some pics up soon.

For some reason I can't seem to post on here. I just sent you an email with them. There from a summer or two ago, but I'll keep up to date with them once I start tearing it down.
