Marc has helped me numerous times on technical problems I couldn't figure out and also has gone as far as to send me outdrive tools to borrow and return so I could get my job done. Not to mention his mercruiserparts.com site is hugely helpful with the parts drawing and breakdowns. BAM is the best of the best in my book and I also have ordered lots of merc parts from them over the last 10+ years without a single issue.

I used my local dealer because he was my dealer of choice from many years ago when I owned another boat. I also spoke to the previous owner and was informed that my local dealer had worked on the boat and so was very familiar with the boat. That said, I will keep BAM in mind in the event my local dealer (Bryde's Marine) is unable to help me.
Thanks for all the responses!
