Yes they do run good,, I still have my Original 69 Z28 with the 302 in my garage.
So is it Soggy?

Funny thing....when I hear the word Soggy, Ford comes to mind!

Well, the ford wasn't too soggy in 1970 when they won the championship with no factory support.

Hmmmm. Not what it says here.

In 1970, all of the American pony car manufacturers were represented with a factory team and top driving talent: Chevrolet had the Chaparral Team Camaro Z28 driven by Jim Hall, Ed Leslie, and Vic Elford. Ford's factory team was run by Bud Moore Engineering with Parnelli Jones and George Follmer the drivers.

Wow, looks like I have contributed to this thread declining into a Ford vs Chevy bash.

Wish I still had my Hugger Orange 69 Z as well. Built that one myself from a semi-rusty hulk. But alas, it had a 1970 LT1 in it instead of that "soggy" 302.

Still have the 'verts - 67 RS/SS 350 and 69 RS/SS 396. Convertibles are as close as I can get to being on the boat when driving down the highway.

Make sure the rubber cap has not come off the large vacuum port on the rear base of the carb. Happened to me once and drove me nuts until someone mentioned it.
