If one was to use a switchable exhaust with a large cam but still followed best practice of using a long riser would this eliminate the reversion risk?
Does anyone use headers with switchable exhaust ?

Is there such a thing as inside mufflers in the event I decided to run thru hulls out the sides?
no question is a dumb question if you don't know the answer.
gibson makes an inline stainless muffler.
and you can still use captains call to an extent if going out the side

Here`s my answer, headsets way cheaper than mufflers too

With the head work and going dry my exhaust is fricking LOUD, wife asks me when I`m gonna put the mufflers on I say next weekend.. its been "next weekend" all summer and probably next year too

With a long riser I do not believe you can fit a diverter to the Y pipe. However a crane 741 (525efi cam) you can run silent choice and that is a pretty healthy cam that can support 600hp NA pretty easily. They also came from the factory with cmi headers with a silent choice option. You could run CMI E top exhaust with the silent choice which would look good, support more then the hp you want, are pretty durable as far as headers are concerned. Now if your engine is gonna make good hp you'd have to open the silent choice at anything say over 3000 rpm (so you could prob cruise on plane but that's about it before you'd really have to open the diverters) and then it would be somewhat loud. But then you could also use slip in mufflers to quiet it when you run the open exhaust. Just an option...

if you don't have issues with the locals where you boat I'd use head phones any time.
