All good info here guys. Well I will hunt around for some 496 manifolds and just pick up crane gold roller rockers and stud conversion. These will just help the relibality and dump a few lbs off. I think it was AZ speed shop (or something like that) that can retune this MEFI1. I know from the factory these 502's are set up fat. Perhaps Ill send out a ECU for a lets call it a improved stock program.

If any of you been fallowing my other thread, I hammered a bearing. So I have time to play with this motor. In the mean time I have another "used" but good bottom end Im going to use for this summer wile I rebuild mine. Actually I have the entire (1995 or 96)502 mag efi that is the same as mine. It has just been sitting for 4 years. The heads have a little rust from sitting but the bottom end is perfect. So Ill use my heads since I just rebuilt them 50 hrs ago along wiht my intake and EFI.

I had my MEFI1 tuned by Mark Boos at Precision Marine. His tune was almost perfect right off of the git-go for my highly modified 540 MPI motor.

Whatever you do, avoid Arizona Speed and Marine. I am still pissed over the screwing they gave me with their extrude honed intake. Shoddy work and shoddy service.

I'm both! Still making some small changes, but I'm using it in between.

Probably steer clear of AZ speed. Precision and Young perf. have really good reps...also a guy on here named Tunertech might also be pretty good. Also, unless you do intake manifold and throttle body mods, I'd just leave the stock cam.

if your not going to do heads, cam, exhaust, custom tune why bother, CRANE GOLD roller rockers will get you no gain, other than at the drinkin fountain, leave it alone and enjoy
