Default Hello and help please.

Hi all!

First an introduction, my names Andrew I'm in the lakes region of New England. I joined not long ago but have been reading for some time. 2 years ago I acquired an 85 formula f3-ls, merc 260 alpha gen 1. Over time I have done a complete vortec head swap mild cam Holley 650, DUI ignition. I'm turning 47 at 4600.

My problem is I would like to install thru hull exhaust but I've been told my steering is in the way is there any f3 owners that can hook me up with some visuals of there thru hull set up to gauge my options.

All help is appreciated thanks.

Might be worth it to PM Mr Maine on here. I know he has been tinkering with the smaller Formula's quite a bit. Also maybe post this question in the Formula forum, you will probably get more action there. I personally don't see how the steering can be in the way as all the merc small block transom and steering systems are the same AFAIK. I could see your swim platform getting in the way though. If you want, pop over and look at how the thru hull setup is on my Crownline, it should be quite similar.

Imco makes an S pipe so you can move your exhaust down to clear what ever.

Bring a smoke detector for a bedroom when you do, I had one crap out this weekend and start going off at 3 AM. Woke up the entire house full of company.
