Mercruiser engine harness wire

Mercruiser engine harness wire
So the genius that rigged my boat didnt secure the wires where they run inside the hull behind the cockpit and the big mercruiser wire that has the connector on the end got jammed between the bottom of the cockpit floor and the hull of the boat... i cant get it out without screwing it up ive tried everything from prybaring the hull a bit to make room and trying the flex the cockpit floor over. So im going to rip it out, cut it whatever i have to.
Is this a proprietary wire from mercruiser and how much is it typically i assume it is sold by the foot????

there is engine wiring harnesses OEM and aftermarket complete . It depends on the length as they come different lengths already assembled and what exactly you have for a engine app and if you have smartcraft. Post your app and year model along with length of boat / also make and model just to be curious ?

Ok well i guess most of these harnesses are identical regardless of the boat. Its the 10 pin plug for the instrument panel which i need. I see it on ebay for 180 or so.
Now another question maybe someone knows my plug has 9 pins and i was told to just break the 10th pin off on the new one but i was wondering what is the extra pin for just out of curiosity.

What is the extra pin for? I am getting ready for motor swap. Boat currently has 9 pin harness. Replacement Motor has 10 pin harness. Thinking of just reinstalling old 9 pin on replacement motor, that is OK I assume.
