Thanks for the update even though no new news. I just don't see detonation but I'm still learning these things. Seems to me everyone is quick to blame detonation, it could very well end up to be fact, but I don't see it.

does not have to detonate to kill it, just lean will do the job..

Just curious... what were the end gaps on the cylinder with the blow-by?

End gaps were the same for all cylinders.

Short block is done. Blocked checked out and just recieved a fresh hone. Was able to resuse the same pistons. New Rings, rod & Main bearings.

Awaiting heads, should be done this week.
