[QUOTE=ezstriper;4426814]the head you use determines the bolts, can't believe they did know the # for std GM iron heads...but the 3601 appears to be the one for stock iron heads per summit[/QUOTE

The old timers who actually cared and knew their chit are far and few in between theses days. Their slowly diminishing. On the flip side though the new generation knows what kind of muffler to make their Honda prelude sound bad azz though. Only gonna get worse I have a feeling.

Don't know if that was directed at me or not, but I'm pretty sure that link I posted were the studs I ended up using.....

It would only have been directed at you if you were the ARP rep the OP called to get the proper head bolts for his stock application. Those guys should know those numbers off the top of their head. Stock heads after market doesn't matter.

Kinda related. ARP bolts on aluminum heads - do you ever un-torque them and retorque them after a good heat cycle, or just once and done?

that is not correct, some aftermarket heads require a different length and often give a specific part # for them...

Yes, I called ARP with the same question, the goof I got on the phone was clueless - I believe I went with the 3601 - stock GM heads 502.
