Don't know the easiest way but I was going to change mine as a precaution while I had everything apart changing out my U-joint bellows. Then decide against it when it looked like I had to pull the shift cable completely out from the handle.

Thanks for the reply. Changed it today took less than one hour. I raised the out drive all the way up turned it the left cut the old bellow out removed the hose clamp with 5/16 with universal disconnect shift cable from shift bracket removed the end of the shift lever pull cable through housing slide new bellow on slide back into housing connect shift bracket tighten s/s hose clamp. Done and went to down town Jacksonville for four hours!
