Default Oil Cooler Question

I have a large thermostatically oil cooler with no instructions and the in/out aren't marked. Is the side where the thermostat is located the inlet or outlet? Thanks

Hate when that happens. All else fails look over and think what makes sense. I ran into that before and you'd think labeling would be crucial on these or any oil state for that matter. Most new after market are.
