Twin 350 Mags... only way to go. Single 496HO doesn't have the power and will kill you on resale. The gas difference isn't all that much.

We have both a 2005 26 ZX with a 496 she will run at 65MPH and a 28 ZX with T350 Mags she will run 70 mph. The 28 has a much better ride because of the extra weight and she is a much better Ocean boat: hey give me a call I have a great price on both boats. 732-477-6157

I'd be curious what the 28 would do with a single 525efi vs. t-350's. I'm willing to bet a single 525 would perform equal if not better than a twin setup. Less fuel, maintenance & weight? Price should be close to the same also.

I have been Boating at lake mead in Las Vegas(last 5 years). Just moved back to east coast though so I will be boating in Myrtle Beach and Southern Jersey. So i want something that can handle the ocean. I am going to the AC boat show so hopefully have a new ride soon. Just sold my bayliner ( no wise cracks now he he)

I have considered the 525 but 1 year warranty is a real turn off. vs 5 years with the t 350 or 496ho. Cost could get crazy i figure with no warranty.

If you go with the 28, Stay with twins: I have a 26 ZX with a single 502 and she only runs 65mph even with a 525 in a 28 you are looking at 72 mph. But with a single engine she wil wander from side to side were a twin engine boat will not, also when launch off a wave the twin lays more level then a single. Plus Resale is much better with twins
