22 classic

I'm look for pro and cons on the 22 classic. I need to get rid of my current boat which is a 27 Mag sport because the house where i keep it is up for sale . I'm thinking of a 22 classic. How do they ride in a 2-3 ft chop which is typical in south fl. What speeds does it get with a big block. Any help would be great. Is there anyone out there that would like to trade for a 27 Mag sport ? It has twin 454's and trs drives . One motor is shot. This boat is SOLID and loves the rough water.
I have someone that is intrested but it has a king cobra drive. are those drives any good. can they hold up. it has a stock 502 can this drive hold up any more power then that. pics let's see some pics. If anyone is intrested in a trade you can e-mail me at speedpassmarine@aol.com

Re: 22 classic

I know of a guy who has a 22 with 454/bravo. I gave him your email. He is going to email you tonight when he gets home.

As far as how they handle 2-3chop...I would say far better than most 22 foot boats do. They are a true 24 degree bottom and a true 22 feet long. I run one on the Ohio river, lake cumberland, and lake erie! I love mine!

Re: 22 classic

Ya just missed mine 2006 22c 496 mag HO mid 70's .. The boat was mint & ran great..
I upsized to a bigger Donzi.. They do handle the rough stuff well once you get on top of the waves.. The down side is the space inside.. If it wasn't for that I probably would have kept it.. They handle like a Ferrari.. If you dont mind the shortage of space you will really enjoy the 22c.. Jamie / Lakeside
