Not much info out there on a 25' ZX 1997. Anyone able to give some advice on this boat? I am considering buying one. I have heard the transoms were poorly built when OMC owned Donzi...

I don't know much about the boat you are looking at; but I can vouch for this one:

http://www.offshoreonlyclassifieds.c...o17102-en.html

Its owned by a personal friend, and we are trying to find a good home for it so he can upgrade. Not sure where you are, but may be willing to help with transport; and I have 3 financing options that can help as well.

Donzi was owned by American Marine Holdings in '97. The 25ZX was a relatively short-lived model. No steps, single BB/Bravo. It did have a deep cockpit and a conventiopnal deep-v bottom.

Post up a few pics of that 25ZX of yours so they can see what can be done with one!

No issues with the transoms. I think that OMC got away from Donzi in 1990 or so.

omc bought donzi in 88 and sold in 95 like HPoffshore said to AMH the OMC boats are hit or miss some are very high quality especially the ones built at the chris craft factory classics only i think you are thinking of the z 25 that was built into the omc era eraly ones from the staples era were great boats
