I ordered the 23 mirages and am now running 66mph but bumping off the limiter.
I am going to look for some 25s after i sell the 22 power techs, and the 23 mirages.
Thanks for the input everyone.

i'm interested in the guy with whippled scorpions running low triple digits...is this possible?? I've considered running a 28zx with prochargers on a pair of 350mags.. any idea if this will break the 90MPH mark?

I have ridden in a single 28ZX at 91mph. I actually drove that boat yesterday into the 80's and it was pretty happy. My 26ZX has a running surface that is very similar to the 28ZX. It is just 16" less in front of the first step My best speed is 103mph.
Regarding the 28ZX vs the 27ZR. I hear that they are different animals when it comes to size. You should look at both of them.
The Procharged small blocks has been done. I heard that it ran in the 90's pretty easily.
These boats have a nice hull that wakes up when good power is added.

Prochargers units do work on the earlier model stuff, we had done a lot of procharger stuff in the past. We do more whipple stuff lately tho.. I must say that, The whipple is a nicer more robust kit. Especially for the later model SBC merc applications. It does cost more tho too.. Jamie / Lakeside

What is your drive ratio? What is your limiter at? They have changed over the years. Some of us have 1.65 drives. some have 1.5 drives. The older 350 Mag boats had a lower top suggested RPM (5000) the newer ones have 5200 suggested limit with a 5300-ish rev limiter.
