I don't know who told you that but it seems like they don't know Donzi's at all The 43 is 11,000lbs compared to 9800lbs on the 38ZR she is wider, higher and longer. I have lauched a 43 off some big waves and yes it will hit hard and so will anyother boat when your hammering over 4-5ft waves at 105mph, But not hard enough to scare me or slow me down. Both boats the 38Zr and 43 are one of the best running boats I have ever been in. I have drove and throttled a lot of boats.

Greg,

We're a dealer out of Wisconsin and over the last year we've stocked both the 38 and 43 ZR series with the same power (700's). I can say from our experience in the sea trials, both boats have an exceptional ride and cut. Between the 38 and 43 there was not a great difference in the landing or handling. The only difference we noted was the speed (roughly 10 MPH). We had a customer coming out of a 388 Slingshot that was sitting on the back bench and asked how fast we were doing, and when we told him we were at 85 going over 2 and a half footers he had to check the GPS himself to believe the ride quality.

There is a big difference between the 43 ZR of Old and the 43 ZX..maybe that's where the miscommunication came..the ZX's run very well, and look good doing it. Jeff

Default 43 Zr

Not sure were you heard the 43 ZR does not handle well but that would not be a fair statement for the boat..I have personally run numerous 43 ZR's with twin and triple engine configurations..Dont over trim the boat and do anything stupid and the boat handles great.

Default 43 Zr

I have a 43 ZR with triple 525 Mercs that runs 96 mph!! Nice riding boat that handles extremely well. Not the biggest baddest wave crusher around but a well constructed great handling boat.If your looking for a great deal mine can be bought at a great price!!
