Got tenfootitus want somting bigger than the 28zx , got a line on a 38zx but it has 525sc motors with about 350 hours on them, what do you think? seems to me that a sc engine with that many hours is close to rebuild time.

Hello Donzi Dude.Ive got a set of 1999 GenVI 525 SC'S with CMI Headers in my Boat with 325 hours.I had the Valve Springs,Seals,Retainers,Water Pumps, replaced at 300 hours as recommended by Bob Teague and other Engine Builders also had leak down and compression test done,Inspected the Blowers and they run flawless,My engines use no oil between the 25 hour interval that I go buy. There was a 1999 38 zx on Ebay for $85,000 with only 90 hours the listing said.Good looking Boat.Anyway I would make sure and have a leak down and compression test done on both engines and inspect the blowers.Take care and good luck.
