Bumpers on a 38' ZX??????

Where can you attach bumpers on a 38' ZX? There are no rails and only the one puch out on the side in the middle. Where in the back can you tie a bumper where it would stay?

Sorry but I have picked up my new boat but have not used it yet.

There should be a hole that looks like a little bilge pump thru hull & a push button style fender hangar that goes in it... Jamie

You can add them if yours doesnt have them. You would need access to the inside of the hull where you want to mount them though. They mount thru the glass & have a large nut on the back much like a bilge thru hull fitting. We sell the kits, but I would have to check the pricing & availability. If you are interested in going that route give me a shout during the week.. Jamie / Lakeside

They look like this... :

I think I can access the area near the driver by removing the dash and then inside the engine compartment for the rear. Not sure how to access the passenger side. Love the look and ease of use. Now does anyone know where is the best place to store the bumpers on a 38zx? Right now we have them in the bathroom. Would love to install a rack somewhere.

They make racks (sometimes out of Billet) that go in the bilge area. Most suppliers offer them like Eddie Marine, Teague, Maybe even Jamie from Lakeside has something he can offer you. I just stow our fenders in our bow locker 'cause I like to send my wife out on the deck and watch her bend over to pull them out! Call me a perv, but that never gets old

My Sunsation 288 is the same way. I just tie a fender to the dock in the rear.

Now that I have been using the boat the bumper locations work fine. I just keep the bumpers tied up behind the bolster seats with some nice clamps
