Congratulations on the purchase, on the transom on the right rear cormer under the rub rail embossed in the Gel, should be a stamped number... that is your hull number? And Buizilla is correct you can get alot more specific info on both Donzi.org and Donzi.net both have a wealth of specific Classic knowledge.
The one thing you will find is that each hull is different, all respond well to horsepower upgrades...if this is your first boat or first classic... I would suggest you just enjoy it as is and get some seat time - the hulls are very trim sensitive.
I have a 1993 - King Cobra - orignal power was the anemic peanut ported 454 - 330 horse. And it was fine until I got a few seasons under my belt... I did a repower in 2004 and its been a sick addiction since then...
What is fun about the classics is we appreciate all of them , Stock, Modified or heavily Customized...they all get looks at the docks and while running.
They are a drivers boat, meaning that unlike a larger displacement hull - which are basically what I call a "Point & Shoot " boat...they are pretty forgiving and compared to a smaller classic or 20 Cig or others... you are so much more connected to the water.
It is a very active driving experience...and it becomes alot of fun and will make you a better driver in any boat - downstream.
Great ride, congrats ...if you have any specific questions feel free to shoot me an email or private message...I am not on here all that often,,, good luck...
Post some pics when ya can of the engine , drive and hull...
As far as props - we use 3, 4 and more blades...depending on your set up and hp. If your X is higher as mentioned earlier, you may be able to turn a 4 blade... most stock classics like a 23 to 25 pitch in a 3 blade...any more and its too tall of pitch for the stock power to turn. If the X is higher all that changes...so again - each set up is unique...so its best to experiment.
There are several runs/events around the Country - attend some...meet some peeps and they can answer most of your questions with Real World answers...not Bench Racing from a computer...
I used a Precision Turbo TXP on the Classic - I started with a 23 now I run a 3 blade 26 TXP - the TXP has a tad more Rake and Cup and no diffuser ring on the tail of the prop...like a Base Prop...works awesome on the 22 hulls, I have several buddies that run them...also for about $200 more - the Bravo One - 4 Blades are one of the props of choice on the upper horsepower configurations.
Good Luck - Boat Safe

Congrats, these boats are a blast. Get some pics posted up.
Here's mine, bought it last fall, and can't wait for the weather to get better. Was only able to use the boat 4 times last fall before the weather turned cold.

Coops, I like the new aluminum windscreens. Call Josh at Donzi Direct for carpet and windshield quotes: Josh

Boomr, lookin' good! How fast does she go with the pro-charger? 87-88?
