Default 1998 33zx ?

Does anyone know this boat or have an opinion on it? I have a friend that’s looking to get out of his 1988 33’ Fountain and into something with more room and amenities for weekends/overnights. Thanks John.

I can tell you all u want to know. I love my 33 zx. 5'6" head room rely deep hull with hi side walls in the cockpit and handles rely good in the ruff I have the 500 efi hps in mine and I run in the upper 70s all day long. u can make the couch and table turn into another bed and sleep 4 adults in the cabin no problem we have done it. its the best u r going to get with space and comfort with out buying a cruiser at that size. here is a video on how it rides in 3 to 4's with some fives doing around 65-70 mph http://youtu.be/qfOZCoS_DRs

I went and looked at that boat. I was very disappointed when I got there. It looked much better in the pictures. Speaker grills are all yellowed. Gauge faces are faded badly. Some large gouges/dock rash. Did not look well maintained. There was oil dripping out of the bilge. Someone shat in the toilet and left it there. I don't know...maybe I was expecting a pristine boat and was sour after seeing it. Do you know what motor work it needs? They have had it there for awhile. I looked at it in March, they didnt mention any motor problems...must have had issues this summer on a test ride? A lot of boat for the money though.

They told my friend one engine needs a total rebuild. And the boat needs some “TLC”. He was planning on taking his fresh 540’s out of his Fountain to put in the Donzi. He was going to drive down and look at the boat. I guess if you get it for the right price it will be worth it.
