I remove all six drains on each engine, reinstall and have 5 gallon bucket with hose attachment on bottom. short hose to outdrive muff. Run 5 gallons of pink in engine.
Drain the main water tank, drain water heater, add pink to water tank and run through water system.
Take hoses off a/c unit and blow out. I have a little bilge pump that I hook up and push pink back through the pump and strainer.
Push a hose up the generator pickup on bottom of boat, fill bucket with pink and run generator until it spits pink.
Drain holding tank
Drain Bilge
Two types of pink antifreeze. One is alcohol based and not good for engines

Put the marine stable in this pass weekend and ran it incase we don't get out for Halloween. Where is the drain plugs on the headers? Is it that common rail looking thing.

Yes, on the back of it.

Google search this and first pick is the manual for engine: mercury racing 500 efi manual

Thanks, was just going to ask Mercury direct instead of getting 50,000 different ways of doing it.

Just the read the owners manual on winterizing, looks pretty straight forward. I guess the question is how hard is it to get the the drain plugs on a 38ZX

Not bad but buy some extra in case you drop one.
