Default donzi website no longer ZR models

I just went to the donzimarine.com site and it only shows classics. Did they stop with the ZR line and ZF line?

They seem to have gone the way of Fountain, it's all over for the hi performance sports models.
Will that make used ZR's worth more? ........ In my dreams......

Correct me if I'm wrong but the 16' and 18' Classics are the only Donzi's in the last 10 or so years that had any design input from Don Aronow? He had nothing to do with ZR's or the center consoles.

Yeah , Don's involvement with Donzi pretty much ended around 1967
Only the original 3 have anything to do with him . The 16 , the 19 and the 28

. I think they have only built a handful of ZR's since 2010 so they are simply focusing on what is actually selling. Plop down $500K and I'm pretty sure RG3 will build you a new 700 ZR.

Donzi is retooling the ZR molds for outboards. The market is trending to outboards, like the outerlimits boat with outboards.

I hope you're right but it still seems like a long shot.....

Maybe someone at Donzi has been following OSO? Here's a few outboard suggestions....

Sadly, they wont. He was complaining on Facebook that he has several customers who want to build 38 & 42 Fountains and Iconic Marine will not do it. They are only doing the 34 and 38 CC right now for Fountain and classics for Donzi. I have heard that it will change as the company gets back on track and they will start building the go fast hulls again. I sure hope ZR's aren't forever retired.

In another thread about Reggie Fountain returning to the factory, BM "Reggie Fountain" said they were concentrating on CC's but were still capable of building sports boats. He has also exchanged PM's with another member expressing an interest in a new 42 poker run.

If the Facebook info is up to date and accurate then Reggie's return to the factory means absolutely zero in terms of sports boats. If Iconic Marine won't build them then it's all over.
