Default Prop for a 29ZF with twin Merc 250 EFI?

I have Bravo 1 22P on there right now. With 195 gallons of fuel and 4 guys on the boat I am still hitting the rev limiter. The boat sees 61.5 mph on GPS, but I am underpropped. Anyone have any recommendations for props for this boat. (I will be getting a real performance boat next year until then this has to do). Thanks Mike

our sherifs office has the same boat with same power and they run 23 bravo 1's and revolution 4's depending on what they are doing... to about the same speeds

Don't go smaller diameter. Those hulls have a fairly agressive X-dim. You may run into problems planing or staying hooked-up.

Wow that is an old thread. That was me before the 2005 Fountain 38 LX and the 2005 Fountain 47 Lightning. Kind of ironic reading that post because I am probably going back to a triple outboard engine boat. Mike

Smaller diameter props in higher pitches seem to work well.

B1's are known to be off- 15.25 diameter and 22 pitch, doubt it is either (on the high side of both)

I would go with a Hydromotive QIV 22 which is 15 diameter- fairly true to size on both.
Mark,
That was me under my old screen name(that was the name of the Donzi). Funny reading that I wanted a real performance boat and now that I have been there will be going back to a center console. Mike
