29 ft late 80's

How well does the late 80's 29ft handle big hp like in the range of twin 500 to 600 hp

A guy over on the Donzi.net recently posted (with pictures) his boat .. either a 29 or 33 .. cant remember... with some custom engines .. again can't remember what they were .. but they were big and very red and definitely a lot more than what the boat came with.
