Ryan,
Skater makes the finest boat in the world no question. But don't come in our house and mislead. Take it to the general area if you want.
Any time you want to run against my 4,700 lb pleasure boat in any conditions let me know my Doug Wright is ready.
Miami to Bimini and back title for title you pick the day I have a volunteer driver.

I'm unsure how this thread took this sudden turn for the worst. I have had numerous lengthy conversations with Dan about set-ups on my 30 Spectre and everything he told me was DEAD-ON...he has never once boasted to me about being #1 or being the best. He was always informative and helpful and more then happy to dig into his bag of tricks to assist me. Dan and Ryan obviously have a little battle going on between them and it is my personal opinion that dirty laundry and or negativity need not be aired here...theres enuff of that as is. You guys are both professionals and are both aware of the truth...i say leave it at that

You are exactly right, on both the fuel on board during tests, and the motor height. I could not have said it better myself( I did try in post #21, I guess I was not clear). It is so nice to see that someone else actually understands how tests are done and how to compare speeds as apples to apples.
For the record, in the real world, my boat with fuel and passengers, based on the most recent run (done at TNT earlier this week), is about 4-6mph off the fastest ever for the boat.

I ran 122 MPH with it light on fuel, by myself.

Wow what happened? I think I asked the question about Ryan's boat just to compare. Didnt mean to stir any crap. Honestly, I didnt see it as Ryan trying to bad mouth DW either. All of the boats mentioned are superb. SS is a good comparison tool for the latest and greatest designs and setups, which is why I was curious about the 30 skater compared to a 32 DW.
