merc #5 swap to #6???
im looking to swap my #5 drives to new #6's, does anyone know if the transom plates bolts match up or am i going to have to drill new holes? also can i run the same transmissions i currently run huber 1450's.

The "body" of your transmissions will work, if you are running plug-in #5's and you will have to buy Mercury's #6 tailstocks. The #6 tailstocks are EXPENSIVE! Cost is approx. $2700 ea. just for the tailstock! If you are running drive-line #5's your transmissions will work as is. You may have to move the engines foreward, on a plug-in application as I don't think the tailstock of a #6 goes into the gimble as far as a #5 plug-in does.
