Default Drive Replacement

I have a coworker with a 87 Larson cruiser who ran aground and fubar'ed his lower unit. He is in Chicago and they are quoting him about $7500 to replace the drive, coupler, and bellows and labor. And that is for a reman drive, not a new one. Is it just me or does that seem a bit high.

That quote is from All Seasons Marina. Wherever that is.

Thanks

Motor has to come out to replace the coupler....he must have REALLY hit bottom!!! Seems about right if the coupler is being replaced too.

If it's an alpha, then I think that's way high. For a bravo, not as bad, but a little high to me.
