Thanks Lofty,

I'll be giving you a shout when we get ready to splash her after we get this and some other mod's done, and yes they do look pretty cool while sitting still.

Aparently they run very well this way.

Seen this boat?
Rik,

There is a pic of this boat on page 2 of the latest Powerboat and sure appears like the notch is still there. Can you comment?

I have an older Kaama surface drive set up and as far as low speed handling goes around the docks w/wind and current I will generally trim them way up into the trl.position. By doing so, I force water downward below the transom when backing down instead of directly against the flat transom, just a trick that I found works well. Can walk her butt sideways just fine in reverse, even pull her side to side with 1-engine in gear and the other in neutral. just a few things to think about. Good luck. A surface drive IMHO is the way to do it ! - ps-v-bottom hull, just my.02

No pics yet, waiting for the boat to be finished getting painted...Got a call today and the colors are going on later this week....

We had an issue with the shipment of the drives being damaged by the freight company and are waiting for replacements...

Should be just a couple of more weeks till it's ready for them...I'll definitely post some pics of the process...
