i need your help. with what drives must change my old drives to have some more time in the sea [ i have no space for trannys
i make a thoght to change the engines and drives with 496 HO with xrs
but how many miles i loose? now i go 97 in gps for one minute after that broke the drive?

Welcome to the board. There are quite a few Hustlers with ASD-7's with proven success. Try giving RIK a call (415-485-0788) from Arneson..Good Luck. Jeff

In a big heavy 40 ft boat, Bravo style drives are just waiting to break. A Konrad Ace or Arneson conversion is the permanent solution(given no room for the #6 trannies).

If the boat is 12 years old, someone has been driving it for the last 12 years. How are you driving? Do you hammer the thottles on take off? For your top speed runs do you push them down and leave them there and hang on to the steering wheel?
The reason I ask is because I have a friend that drove top fuel dragster and was very good at it. He bought a Cigarette and drove it the same way, then couldn't figure out why it kept breaking.
