Default Bravo Upper Thrashed - Is lower worth repair?

Upper gears in pieces with metal shavings coming out of the lower drain. Drive locked up and cracked the cap. Lower spins and rotates smoothly but you can see the metal in the oil when it drained from the lower section.

Is it worth going through the lower? Would bearings need to be replaced?

I am currently using a lower from a drive that I blew the upper to smithereens. Been about 10 hours, no issues. All I did was flush it a couple times.
