Default TRS and Velvet Drive Problems

My starboard transmission are not engaging. What is the first things to check. Are there any good articles on how the Velvet Drive transmissions work? Are they a single speed automation transmission.

Thanks

Yes it is a single speed transmission. When you shift to forward fluid is directed to apply pressure to the forward clutch pack.

Default Shifter Function

Is the shifter the lever on the rear of the transmission? How do you assure that it is in forward, reverse, or neutral?

Thanks

Have somebody work the shifters and then you watch the other side that is working.

Have someone shift it while you stand back there and watch.

The bell crank has a ball and spring plunger that detents into the triangle shape plate on the left side. Your cable could be broke or miss alinged. Does it have reverse?

Could also be a broken damper plate on flywheel or blown drive.

Here are a few pics. Shifter from helm is the red piece. Pay no attention to the red-arrows, those were for something else.
