OK so a stagger front engine is always a driveshaft.
Doesnt the driveshaft "plug in" to the transom assembly?
I ask because it seems transom assemblies have diff. styles?

the driveshaft doesn't plug in, it bolts to a flange style transom assebly. A plug in style transom assembly accepts a splined shaft.

If it is a Bravo, transoms are the same, an additional bearing support/shaft hooks up to the driveline (if it is a driveline application).
#6 has differant transom assemblies, the driveline style includes the bearing/shaft. The plug in requires the #6 tailstock on the transmission.
Yes, the front engine on a stagger requires a driveline.
