Bruce,Ben,and I all agree that i need a 18 X 29,30,32 4 blade. If i can find a 18 in a 19 spline i will do that. if not i will have to have some adapters made or buy some........... Bruce wants his back

And yes KNEE give us some data!!!

I am tring to figure out what pitch prop are on the boat. All I know is they were 4 blades and port had a 2 inch hairline in it with a stamp of KME 986// J 655 & J 340. The Starboard prop has KME987// J 340. The ratio is 23 outer- 35 inner on port and 26 outer and 35 inner starboard. They are not counter rotating but not a clue why they have different ratio.

I would guess them to be 34 pitch.

I cant understand what 23 outer 35 inner//// and 26 outer and 35 inner means where are you getting these # from. If you turn the h bar on the inside of the boat by the u joints how many revolutions is the prop turning. If you have someone look inside at the h bar while you turn the prop that will give you an indication of your gear ratio. eg. 8%. 13% 18% overdrive or underdrive Bruce

Dont use that prop with the hairline crack in it. I did that and it bit me by breaking the forward part of the rear housing on the drive making a real mess to the tune of $20.000 after it was all said and done

I thought about repairing but am going to look for a different set of props anyway. boat is in storage right now and is toooo hard to get at but the #'s are gears that cxassell eng. cut for the previous owner and i am going to work with BBbldes to nail the set up this spring. and if after all is said and done it doesnt have the potential to hit triple didgits I will end up starting all over.

Just in case you want a spare Kaama, I have one that was just redone with 1-1.89 gears and 2 sets of shaft seals with a boot.
