You will need a new helmet, reservoir, and the drive. If your motor won't idle down to around 800rpm.. you can install a shift interupter switch.
Thats about it. Like I said they are looking at the ITS trim indicator at this time. They should have something in the near future.. You will probably have to use their Gimbal ring to accomadate the trim sender setup?? Not a bad idea to install their HD gimbal ring..
Hope that helps.
Dick

No problem the 600s idle at 700 I will have to use the merc gimbal ring because the steering connects to it with the ITS setup. Got mechanical trim indicators so if the electric ones don't work not a big problem. I like the idea of using #6 props so I can stop throwing the bravo ones. This boat has a 22 1/2 X dimension which has the props surfacing.

+1 on the ITS with Mechanical trim sender.

Do they (IMCO) have an ITS specific Gimbal ring?

I would want to stick with Bravo Props due to cost. Makes it much more palatable to keep multiple sets for different conditions. Aren't the SSM props for surface piercing drives only?

2112,
They are working on a way to use the trim stuff that Merc has on the ITS. Not sure if they will end up with a special Gimbal ring or not. They just started looking at it this past week.
The idea is to run the SCX lower, it is -2".. Getting close to surfacing on some boats, maybe. If that is the case the less of the lower in the water the better.
But the Hub that comes with the 1 7/16 shaft will fit the Bravo props with the square hub. So you pop out the Merc hub and slide in the Imco one and on to the new lower..
Lot of options to fit what ever might be the case.

Mudslide,
Not sure what the #6 prop uses for shaft and spline. I will have to check and see. I try to stay away from those expensive props, so I have no experience with them.

Nice Airpacker!! Makes me want one also..
Dick

Dick,

My main concerns with the ITS are the Tie bar attachments (I would like to use my MM, center to center bar) being able to use my existing 2" short sportmaster bottom and replacing the final weak link, the stock ITS Gimbal ring.

My next concern is if there is any affect on handling due to the extra 150 lbs way out back?

If you are interested Mud, I can shoot you a price, just pm me.

Dick,

Imco offers the #6 shaft for a option with the SCX lower.
01-3446 Prop Shaft #6 Prop Shaft #6 $766.00
The reason I want these props because my boat likes to throw Bravos and it is not from running in big water. I run mainly in rivers and small lakes. Not the great lakes. So thats why I want #6 props already throw 5 6 blade bravos (3 Herings and 2 Throttle Ups) thats not cheap either. Bravos aren't made to be surfacing props.

I see that in my price list Bob, a difference of $124.00 list. I will check to see what the cost is to step up to them.
