They also have the option for silver instead of black. I went with this option so the SCX upper matches the SC lower. Looks great. I have run this set up for one season, running same speed as the Teaque did. I have had no problems.

I am running a single 575sci. I have gone thru 2 xr's and 2 Teaque platinum's before landing with the SCX. So far I am very happy with the results and looks.

I have a full season on them. 39 cig top gun 775 Zuls. I was amazed how well they shifted, I thought it was going to be an issue. Running Scx uppers, SC lowers, no speed loss. They are awsome!!

What RPM do you shift at? Do you use interrupters?

I am assuming no ITS?

Shifting about 850 plus/min, Yes/ ITS with staggered set up, no interrupters, Torco synthetic trans fluid (per Imco). The boat seems to like the little extra weight in the azz with both Herings and Bravo props.

I just had a GT500 rear axle customized and gear swapped and the rear end specialist said "no Torco, No warranty". He preferred the mineral base though.

My big concerns are the strength of the stock Gimbal and how the weight will affect my boat. I think we have nearly the same hull but I am a bit lighter up front.

PS I am a fan of Neill's too. He built my boat for me. Do you know if he is doing good?

PSS My Fords will idle at 850 but shifting often kills them which is a pain. They stay running at 1000, any lower and I have to play a game to fast shift to keep them running. That is pretty much what I always end up doing. I have EFI inductions waiting in the wings just for this problem. They won't be ready for 2010 though.

I would think the shift interupter kit would be the answer to your shifting problem..

I am anxious to hear what you find out about the upgrade Gimbal ring.

Does the SCX lowers have a water pickup or do you need a transom pickup?
