If you are going to cruise at 3500-4000 RPM, what will your torque be in this RPM band? This is a good question to ask all...."when your drive broke, how much torque were you making"? Our MMW Bravo XR's have not broken in 8 yrs but we only have about 650 lbs torque with a 9500-9800 lbs boat (includes crew and fuel).
There are lots of Bravo drive failures with 700+ lbs. torque and 10,500-11,000+ lbs 38' boats. Some large CI BBC's can make 800 + lbs of torque.
Bravo drive specialist, do you think there is a direct relationship between drive failure and the torque made with big CI?

Had a boostpower quad rotor 598ci in a 27 eliminator and broke 3 in a month. Never broke one cruising or while running on the big end, But everytime I would hammer on it from 60 mph it would break while excellerating. The guys at max said the motor made to much torque in the midrange. was running a BBlades bravo 32
