Default Can't shift into forward

I have a Alpha I Gen II that I just replaced (used).

On the maiden voyage I pulled out (just fine), shifted to forward (just fine), and pulled up to the dock (while i waited for my spotter). Pulled out in reverse, but it would not engage when I went to put it in forward. The remote contol and the cables seem to work fine, but the gears would not engage. Note: reverse still works. No grinding was noticed and I never loaded it above idle speed.

I plan to pull the drive and remount it according to the manual (again), but i wanted to check in to see if I should look for anything in particular.

When you pull the drive. see if you can shift it in all gears by hand when turning the u-joint. If you can and all feels good it's not the outdrive. Any questions call me at 954 237 0332 John

I would check the fittings intop of your manifolds for cable spacing... Cables could be stretched and not allowing you to go into forward
