I used AMS oil for 3+ years no issues. switched to merc green last year (and a 5 blade prop.. different story) went through 2 sets of lower gears. coincidence? perhaps.. my "guys" thought on the merc stuff was it helps with the cone-clutch shifting. the full synthetic was slower shifting. true? false? can't decide if I want to return to AMS (or something else)

Amsoil here as well on my IMCO SC. I like that I can buy it locally rather than order it. I think your splitting hairs once you are comparing quality name brand full synthetics....just my opinion.

anyone ever used moroso climbing gear lube?

I use it in my drag cars exclusively it reduces shock on the gear sets considerably

was using amsoil severe gear but it is hard to find local for me now using royal purple
