Default NXT upgrades?

I've read where NXT's are rated for 700 HP/700 lbs. torque, are there upgrades available for the NXT to get those numbers higher? Thanks

Bolt on a #6 upper and lower. If that is not enuff, A complete #6, Indy or Arneson would be the way to go. With these options, there is not really any good reason to have NXT upgrades.

Just my 2 c's

Mercury Racing list the NTX as standard for thier new 1100hp Turbo Motor.

"The 1100 comes standard with the dry-sump NXT1 SSM drive with gear ratios from 1.15.1 to 1.42:1. The M8 drive, standard on the 1350, is required when the application calls for 1.5:1 or 1.7: 1 gear ratios."

With the drive itself rated to 700 hp and 800 lbs. torque, I doubt it is the standard NXT drive. They refer to it as a NXT1 SSM drive, so I would think it's the NXT/#6 combo.

That would be correct. it is the NXT transom assembly and the #6 drive.
