Default Mercury trim cylinder help

Can anyone tell me if the trim cylinders with the pn 98717,98718 will work on my 2000 xr drives, those cylinders have a pn 98703/98704 on them, they look identical except for the part numbers......thanks Joe

I am just guessing that the ones you have are the ones with spacers/stoppers inside them to prevent the drive from going as far up and the others are the standard ones. You can install the spacers and that is what people do when they go from a regular Bravo to an XR.
Keep in mind, this is just guess on my part.
