Need Mercruiser BBC Throttle Body or Info
I'm looking for a BBC Multi-Port Throttle body. I'm curious to know the bolt pattern and the throttle bore size. I'm under the impression that some of the bigger throttle bodies I currently make for GM automotive stuff will work. I'd like to borrow one or buy one, or see if someone can give me dimensions etc... Any help is appreciated!

This where I need help....I've seen some side mounted with two throttle bores and some front mounted with two throttle bores. Looking for info on both styles. I can;t find any good photos anywhere of just the throttle bodies.

Ok great...... It looks like I have someone sending me a Side Mount Mercruiser piece to bore out and we may look into making an all new billet unit. We have two CNCs and already many units for TPI, LT1, and LS engines. I'd like to get a front mount GM unit in my hands to see what the linkage is like and also TPS and IAC motor styles. Our exisiting 52 & 58 MM TPI or LT1 throttle bodies may work as-is.
I appreciate your help.

I picked up about 3-4% more hp on my 540 running a modified 502 mpi throttle body by boring it out to the max. I bough a couple throttle mercruiser throttle bodys afterwards and had them bored out too hoping to sell them on a exchange basis but 5 years later they are still sitting on my shelf, you would think there would be a market for it but its not a easy sell, good luck, Smitty

Gimme Fuel & Snapmorgan are sending thiers in.. looking forward to getting something going on this stuff. I've also noticed some of the newer BBC Mercruisers use a side mounted LS1 style throttle body. We already manufacture this style of TB in 90 and 102MM for automotive applications. Stock is 75mm. If anyone else has thoughts on engines that could use a bigger TB let me know.
