Hey. I went with the X-Power drives because they are a direct bolt on, and are super hi-tech awesome drives.
Setup is a concern, particularly the X-dimension and prop size. Bill was excellent to deal with. We'll be rigging these up over the next couple of weeks.

I was running Bravo XR drives 1.34 gears with Hering 15.5 x 34 bravo props. top end was a touch over 130 MPH just on the limiters.

The Bravos were struggling, shafts were twisting, gears losing case hardening etc. too much hassle.

I didn't blow the drives but to keep them on the water they need to be rebuilt way too often for my liking.

Here are a few photos of the Spectre. I loved the Spectre from Oregan Marine, so I had some vinyls made to give it a similar look.

Crap Bravo XRs can be seen here

The audio system is ridiculousness to the extreme. Bill is a wild wild dude

You can just see the 18in sub.
It has 28 speakers, 5 amps, two massive capacitors = massive sound on the water. We absolutely love it !!!

OK. The drives are on the boat. Now for the fiddly bits. Re-tapping the tie bar, oil pressure alarms, trim gauge cables, plumbing up the old drive oil bottles as breathers. Then its on the water.

the drives are hardcore unbreakable. Amazing stats too. 60 lbs heavier per side than the Bravos all up.

They are surface drives, so I am moving to a surface piercing prop. The props going on are 16 x 31. I can go up to 16 x 33 for more top end, but the 16 x 31s should be great.

The drive takes only 4HP to spin at 6000 RPM vs the Bravo that drains 45HP to spin at 6000RPM.
