sprink58, thanks for that, very helpfull, did u get the drawing/template with the new drive?
wonder if mercruiser supply it seperately. could u post the drg number, its just too small to make out .

No template, but A few years ago when I did a transom I picked this up for drilling the holes, set it for 90 degrees and your holes are perfectly aligned. Handy little tool to have around.

Is the Bravo Drive Longer..Will it affect the x dimension? If so what length shortie would correct it.

dimension between upper and lower shafts is the same for STANDARD length alphas (gen 1 and 2), pre-alphas and bravos. alpha ss and bravo shorties are shorter to raise prop shaft height. TRS is longer. shift bracket on exhaust. can alpha be used for bravo?

Thats a cool toy! i went the cheap route and just bought a small section of plumbing pipe a little bit bigger then the drill bit and then threaded the pipe onto a threaded flange...dont have any pics but i found this on the net.
